Friday the 13th of March.
It started of raining in the morning. We didn't have kawat till 10 something. Everything was going well, the watery tar road that made our shoes and pants soggy, the drizzled rain that made our hair soaked in water, and our wet shirt. After kawat ended at about 12.30 in the afternoon for a lunch break, I went for choir. It was all going okay and the Alto's managed to reach till 6 people. We stayed for an hour or so, and joined kawat again. Everyone left their phones in one bag. A member's brother from the squad was in charge to look after it. We practiced awhile, and then went for rehearsal for Saturday's kawat competition. As the whole squad had to stand, the shoes made our legs sore. I took my phone out and kept it with me, as I can't leave without it. The teachers weren't satisfied with the rehearsal, so we had to do it like for 3 times, i think. After all that bragging, the rehearsal ended. As we were about to walk to the hall, the member's brother said, The bag was GONE. EVERYTHING WAS GONE. ALL THE PHONES WERE MISSING. WALLETS. IC. iPOD. Everyone panicked. I was disturbed too, eventhough my phone weren't missing. The whole squad walked everywhere to find it. I walked around Block A, cause that was where the bag was. But, nothing was found. After a few minutes, someone found the bag in Block B in the guy's stairs. Everyone rushed to look for their phones. Good news, phones were there, wallets, ipod and ic too. Bad news, SOME phones were missing. 6 people from our squad lost their phones. Some guy stole it and ran away. Those who lost their phone, cried continuously. It was really bad. Everyone's spirit for competition was smashed up. Ganesh left his tuition and came to school. He made an announcement. Everyone asked Ganesh if it was possible to not attend for the competition. Ganesh said NO. He gave a very meaningful speech to us. He said, no matter what, we are one whole squad which means we are one whole family. We shall not give up that easily and we shouldn't let others let down on us. He boosted us up. He was very right. Everyone went home after that.
Some day, huh?
Saturday the 14th of March.
Competition Day.
Reached around 6 in the morning. Practiced.
Everyone was looking good.
We were the very last one to compete. As it was our turn, I was so nervous that I might screw up for the formation part. We had to stand in the hot sun. Our feet was burning so badly. After we kawat-ed, Kenneth and Fabi said we were awesome. Eventhough there were slight mistakes, he said we did our perlahan jalan really well. We took our St. John's photo after that. As we lined up for the results, Ganesh came and said we weren't the last but we didn't win. We came in 4th place. Just 4 marks behind the 3rd place. After all, I consider us in 3rd place. We sacrificed our time so much, by skipping tuitions and classes. That seriously paid off. I'm so proud of you guys ;)
Well, we'll show you who we really are for the next St. John's kawat on the 28th. You just wait and see :)
